The topic of church leadership can be confusing when people intentionally or inadvertently add to or change what Scripture says about establishing official positions in the church. When we simply let Scripture say what It says about the official positions of elders and deacons within the church, though, we can learn how the Lord wants His Church to function. The aim of this series is to look at these two roles in the church and to exposit the Biblical texts that teach us about them.
